Born and raised in the rural coastal mountains of Northern California, Marshall Comstock currently lives in Hawaii with his wife. He is a writer and a photographer, which is another way of saying that he has to do something other than writing and taking photos to make money.
He received an MFA in writing from the University of San Francisco in 2013. He is a self-taught photographer, with more than seven years experience. He has also been a waiter, a ranch hand, a high school teacher, and a book binder, among other things.
He specializes in fine art photography, including landscapes, portraits, engagements, and documentary as well as night photography. He also hates writing about himself in the the third person.
